Abstract

Research on Decision Support Systems (DSS) in healthcare has grown rapidly along with technological advancements and the complexity of clinical decision-making. These systems offer great potential in improving diagnostic accuracy, hospital management efficiency, and patient care quality. This study aims to conduct a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications on DSS for healthcare in the period 2015-2025. The research methodology involves searching leading scientific databases (such as Scopus or Web of Science) using relevant keywords, followed by quantitative analysis of publication trends, major contributing countries, inter-institutional collaborations, most influential journals, and identification of the most frequently occurring authors and keywords. The results of the analysis are expected to reveal the growth pattern of publications in this field, show countries that are pioneers in research, and identify the most active research areas and those that still need further exploration. In addition, the findings will map thematic linkages through keyword co-occurrence analysis, providing an overview of emerging topics and potential future research directions. Thus, this study contributes to providing a comprehensive roadmap for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to understand the evolution and potential of DSS in transforming the healthcare sector.
